The Kiwanis Club of Miami was chartered in 1921. Following Its organization, the Club embarks on a program of youth and community service which it has continued throughout the years.
Its youth service, and the sums expended, became so large that In 1944 a separate corporation was formed and named The Miami Kiwanis Youth Foundation. All money donated or raised for youth service is deposited In this corporation.
Each year close to one hundred thousand dollars is granted to youth organizations in Miami-Dade County.
The club has been instrumental In sponsoring Key Clubs throughout Miami Dade County's high schools. We help to build leadership and service in our youth.
The club membership rolls throughout the years have included many prominent Miamians, including two U.S. Senators, federal and local judges. company presidents and community nonprofit executives, attorneys, and many business and community leaders, and individuals that just wanted to make a difference In Miami.
